These pages provide links to various archive material relating to the Marakwet and neighbouring communities. The Material has been produced by a wide number of projects and individuals from whom we have sought permission to include the material here. However, a good deal of the material has been produced by the Marakwet Heritage Project itself since 2011. The archives are divided into four basic categories.

Writing: published and unpublished written sources on the Marakwet and neighbouring communities.

Images: Images produced by the Marakwet Heritage Project and other historic projects and visitors to Marakwet.

Film: video and other footage produced by a range of projects.

Landscape and maps: a range of spatial and environmental/ecological data derived from various sources including GPS and GIS mapping, historic aerial photographs, satelite images, botany geoarchaeology, and physical geography. Much of this data focuses on Marakwet agricultural land and water management.
