These pages provide access to a range of published and unpublished sources relating to the Marakwet and neighbouring communities as well a bibliography of other sources. The materials presented here are far from comprehensive and we welcome further suggestions and additions. Anyone who would like to archive relevant material on these pages is very welcome to do so and request that you contact us directly in the first instance. We endeavour to keep adding both new and historic material to these pages and are exploring the relevant copy-right permissions to add older material.

The written materials are divided as follows:

Published sources: sources largely published in academic journals and books, but also journalistic material.

Unpublished sources: grey literature, presentations, working papers, preliminary and interim project reports.

Project reports: reports and popular publications of the Marakwet Heritage Project.

Bibliography: a comprehensive bibliography of sources on the Marakwet and related peoples.
